The internship is conducted in two batches
Summer batch – This interview is conducted in the months of January and February. All the posts are closed by February end while the internship starts by May.
Winter batch – The interview for this batch is conducted in June and July and the internships are filled by July end. The batch starts from November end or the start of December.
Marriot Hotel
The Marriot Hotel is one of the rare hotels that allow its interns to be the face of the hotel, i.e, gives them an opportunity to work at the front office.
Interns at Marriot Hotel are expected to work in different departments, that is – housekeeping, front office, food, and beverages, etc.
For an internship here, colleges can get in touch with the HR and send the resume of the interested students. Individual students can also call the hotel and in send their resume.
The internship period here lasts for 6 months and is divided into two batches
Summer batch – The summer batch starts in the month of June or July.
Winter batch – This batch starts in either by December end or January start.
Leela Hotel
The Leela Hotel is one of the dream opportunities for internships for Hotel Management students, and for good reason. Getting an internship at the Leela can add a lot to their career.
An internship at the any of the Leela hotels can last anywhere between 17 to 22 weeks. During this time, you would be expected to work in different departments, such as operations, food and beverages services, front office, housekeeping, kitchen, etc.
The Leela Hotel prefers students who are recommended by their college. Of course, it also entertains the possibility of hiring students who contact the HR on their own without any college referring them for the same.
Summer batch – The interview for this batch is conducted in the month of March and the internship starts by June or July.
Around 10 students are selected for this opportunity.
Winter batch – The interview is conducted in August and the internship starts in either September or October. Near about 15 students are selected for the same.
The Oberoi
The Oberoi is one of the top hotel chains in India and continues to attract a lot of interns every year.
An internship at the Oberoi is usually six months long. However, the internship period can also be shortened to 17 weeks or be extended to nearly a year.
For an internship at the Oberoi, colleges can get in touch with the HR department and send in the resume of the students. Students can also connect with the training department on their own.
The internship is conducted in two batches
Summer batch – Interviews for this batch are conducted in February and the internship starts in May.
Winter batch – Interviews are conducted in September while the internship starts in November.
Westin Hotel and Resorts
Getting an internship with Westin Hotel and Resorts is no easy task. However, if you have your college to back you up, then you stand a higher chance of succeeding.
Westin prefers students who are recommended by their college and are wary of students who apply individually. The reason being, that students recommended by their college are more serious and dedicates as their attendance and marks depend on their performance here.
Westin Hotel and Resorts conduct internships in two batches
Summer batch – It starts in the month of either June or July and near about 60 students are selected.
Winter batch – The internship starts by September or October and around 80 students are selected for it.
